Photoshoot and vacation

So I started this last week with a photo shoot for a friend of mines little girl. Isn't she the sweetest? Her eyes are so gorgeous blue, I just love shooting her. So here are a couple of her shots that I did. There were 129 of them so I could not load them all, these happen to be my favorite.

Well, it is time for the Frost family vacation. This year was extra hard to plan since US motors isn't being our best friend in the "work" department. I wanted something exciting for the girls, something they might actually learn on rather than just set and eat for 5 days! My first choice was Murfreesburo, let them dig for diamonds and play in the water park. A day at Old Washington State park and we would be set. Learning all the way around right? That did NOT work out. My mother, the kids, and myself spent 6 hours looking for a camping site on Lake Greeson. They had lots of sites available, but no water on those sites. I am not going without water when I have a wonderful 5th wheel equipped with all the amenities!! So I struck that one out as a possibility. So I started looking at other locations. We knew we wanted to camp when we asked the girls what they wanted to do. Their eyes lit up and said "we wanna Camp." They enjoyed themselves so much last time that I had decided that I was NOT going to lock them up in a stuffy old motel room somewhere. Last year we went to Branson/Alicia's for vacation. We had a blast but also had more money at the time. This year I wanted something easy and inexpensive to do. So we are off to Lake Catherine for 5 days. Where we have enrolled the girls in a water balloon fight, a scavenger hunt, and a midnight cruise on Lake Catherine. They are going to make rock animals with the Ranger there and we are sneaking in to see Garvin Gardens, and play put-put golf with them (where I am sure to win.)

So as I go to load the camper, I want to wish each and everyone of you a very Happy July 4th. We won't be back till the 2nd and I am sure I will be busy after that. You guys stay safe and enjoy your selves...

Prayer request PLEASE!!!

My little cousin is 25-26 years old. This morning I got a call from my mother stating that they had taken him to the ER, via ambulance. I asked why, and she said HEART ATTACK!!! What, he is young. So they have him in the ER right now, and they said that his test came back that it was not a heart attack, but they think that they see something in the lung. They are unsure if it is a blood clot or not, but it is something. He is still at this time having chest pains, and currently can't feel his legs. Please PLEASE lift him up in prayer and ask that he be ok. His name is Codi Allen Lopez, his wife is Savannah Myers Lopez!!

The un-invited visitor...

I read this story one time about how there was this family who welcomed this visitor into their home. He stayed for a while and was like part of the family. Then the mother and father noticed that his language was getting worse, and the kids were mimicking his actions. He had for the first time murdered some one and the parents had let this entertain their oldest child. As I was reading this story I just thought myself, what type of parents would "knowingly" allow this visitor to stay? They knew his language was bad, that he was having loads of intimate moments, and killing people. Yet they visited with him sometimes all day and all night long. Then the moral of the story came in. This visitor wasn't a man or woman, it was the T.V. set. Think about this, we allow our children to have their own T.V.'s in their bedrooms. We walk out and we let them watch what they want. Yes, I agree Barney is not a murder, but we watch things that no matter how small it may seem to us they pick up on it. They hear the "occasional" curse word, the see the "occasional" violence. So they know what is going on. I heard spongebob the other night claiming that Patrick was a girl, and all the men was wanting to date her/him!!! Then I hear spongebob and Patrick speaking in chants worshipping the all seeing EYE!! The "all seeing EYE" is an image from paganism/witch craft worship, established with the pagan's many many years ago. DON'T THINK SO!!!
I thought of all this story when I hear people in walmart wishing that they had listened to the news, so they would not be without T.V. now, due to the digital conversion. Funny how jobs are leaving Mena, tornado killed 3, town is in shambles, and John Doe is panicking because he has no T.V.!! Is that so important that we can't turn it off for a little while? So today is a "NO T.V." day in the Frost home. The girls are to find something constructive to do and use those things called heads, that the Lord our father gave us for a reason.
OK, on one final note. A friend of mine just recently had a baby boy. She noticed that his head was quite large on the back, so she took him to the doctor. They are not sure what is going on, but the words that they mentioned were Cranial Syntenosis (spelling is not MEDICALLY correct I am sure). This is where the soft spot closes up way to early which causes problems with the infant. She told me that he is hard to wake and won't stay awake very long. Please pray that he is going to be okay, as we all know the medicine field has expanded so much. I am sure that there are miles of things that they can do for him. Well, off to use my "head" to find something to do. See how long we can go without T.V.!!!!!

Me and my rib, we are fine......

So I went to the doctor this afternoon. As scared as I was, Dr. Rocha always seems to **relax** you. So I go in and he talks to me, and I try to explain what I am feeling. Mind you, I have lost 56 pounds and so I am feeling things I have NEVER felt before. So, he does an exam, and POOF the lump is not there. He can't find it anywhere....but wait.....he feels it and asks me to identify it for him. I feel and yep that is what I have been feeling. WAIT FOR IT....WAIT FOR IT...

A RIB!!!
DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, my rib was what I was feeling. I felt so stupid!!! After he laughed so hard he then told me that it was way better to be safe than sorry. So he told me that he is going to do a ultrasound just to be safe. He is 110% positive that it is nothing but a rib. How was I supposed to know it was that? I mean seriously I haven't felt my ribs in 10 years. I wasn't even sure they still existed!!! That 56 pounds sure revealed more things that I thought. So, if your finished laughing at me, at least I am ok!! I feel so dumb....but you know what, everyone was telling me to go and have it checked. So I followed advice!!!!!

Praise the Lord for RIBS!!!
Have a great weekend you guys!!

The vacation..the party and the breakdowns.

Well, we went to the lake for the "post" memorial day vacation. We always like to go after the crowds leave. I mean there is nothing like having the whole lake to your self. Of course we went to Gillham, and there was only one camp ground open. The rest of them were under water!!
Aleeyah finally slowed down enough for me to take a couple of shots. She is growing up way to fast, and I know that cherishing these moments are essential!!

She can be the goofiest child you know. She is just like her daddy when she wants to be. I am not a joking/funny type of person. Serious is my motto!! I sometimes hate that about myself, and find that I am not alot of fun to be around. Aleeyah is like that to an extent, but then she has just enough of Sam in her!!! Averrie is the total opposite, always looking for a laugh.
We decided to let the girls play in bubbles while we were down there. Aleeyah wanted no part of it, since daddy hurt her feelings early (EXCUSES, got to love them)!! You would think that this picture above would have cause Averrie to shed tears.....wrong (see below).

She always has a smile on her face. She is so like Sam!!!! He went fishing one time at Iron's Fork lake. He had been gone for so long and I decided I would call his cell phone to check on him. He excitedly tells me that he CANNOT talk right now and he would call me back. I wait and the phone rings...Sam is on the other end just laughing. I ask him what is wrong and he proceeds to tell me that he has sunk our bronco!! WHAT?!?!?! Yep, he sunk it to the bottom of the lake. So I call mom and dad hysterical and tell them to go and help him. They find him and his father with the tow truck carrying the bronco. There was water running out the hatch, the doors and the door buzzer would not shut up. Guess what, Sam had a smile on his face. He was not worried at all. Averrie is just like him!!!
We got back Friday afternoon and began getting ready to go to Ft. Smith for a birthday party. JL turned three and we had not been given a chance to see her new little sister KL. This is her above, doesn't she have the cutest little profile!?! Her mommy will thank me for this picture. We had a blast even though we were the only people there!! LOOOOOOONG story!! So you want to get to the breakdown. Which one? The camper, the air conditioner, the emotional one? I have dealt with all three this week. The camper jack broke, and that would not be such a problem except it is electric and the motor went out. I won't go on about the cost since I am only liable to have the latter breakdown mentioned above. So we get home and realize that the house is way to hot. I turn the air on and NO AIR!! Arkansas spring/summer with no air is not a good thing. Called and got that one fixed thankfully it was a work out between us and the air man. Won't be costing me a fortune this time YEA!!!
So the final breakdown is the emotional one. For about a month now, I have been monitoring a knot in my left breast. As I am positive that this is probably nothing I still have thoughts going through my head. I worry really bad since my friend just buried her mother from breast cancer. Sandra had lost so much weight that she finally found the knot, but it was way to advanced to save her. Since I have lost 56 pounds, I fear this is the same thing. I am only human, and the human part of me worries. Though the Lord assures me that I am fine. I go to see the doc tomorrow, and pray that things are truly fine (as I am sure they are). Prayers will be really helpful if you could just send some up for me.

Lake here we come.

Well, tomorrow is the day we go to the lake. We always make sure that we go the week after memorial day, since you can't get in on memorial day. I hate large crowds and camping is no different. Sam and the girls will be going down tomorrow morning to get things ready, I will be following shortly afterwards. I have a photo job tomorrow night so I am unable to go with them till after. Sam unveiled my new expedition to me Friday, I am so excited to finally have enough room to carry EVERYONE!! Third row is amazing!! I am asking for prayer for my uncle who was just recently diagnosed with prostate cancer. They are unsure of what the treatment will be, but pray for them to go with the best choice for him. Well, I have to clean the camper out, load the clothes, grocery shop, and tan....so I have allot to do. Until I come back from the lake you guys have a wonderful week......

Memorial Day 2009

Well, it is another memorial day. Another day of raking, removing, and adding new flowers to Bethanie's grave. You know allot of people think that when a person/child leaves this world, that the family no longer takes care of them. They could not be more wrong about that. I go every memorial, every birthday, and every anniversary to take care of Bethanie's grave. It is a big decision on the color to use this time and takes the whole family sitting down to make the final cut. We look for weeks to find just the right shade of pink. This year I think that we are going to use pastels. Peach, pink, yellow, green and blue will be the colors. Last year was bright colors and I want to get away from that and go more "girly" this year. Of course as always I will visit her little friend McKayla, who is buried behind her, and put something there. She is Melissa Ellis and David James little angel in heaven. She was the reason I put Bethanie over there, to be close to her, since they was the same age. So tomorrow I am off on a mission to find flowers (I am running late), to clean the grave and to sit and think about her. As I clean I love to look at her pink headstone and her little picture and think to myself, how much I miss her, and how happy she is right now. Well, I must run to bed. Please be saying a prayer for my uncle Gerald McGee, who was just diagnosed with prostate cancer.
